Petrom to take over MOL Aviation and 30 MOL gas stations.

Apr. 10--Petrom will take over MOL Aviation Romania and 30 gas stations of the Romanian subsidiary of Hungarian oil group MOL, 15 of which are located in Bucharest. Petrom will offer in exchange 11 Petrom and OMV gas stations, along with a cash sum. The companies have not yet announced the value of the transaction, which will become effective only if approved by the Competition Council.

The gas stations are to be modernized and will operate under the PetromV brand. Petrom plans to increase the number of PetromV gas stations to 250 by the year 2010, as it targets a 30 percent market share and yearly fuel sales of 2.9 million liters. …
