JSL scales back to ride out economy.

May 14--JSL Co, one of the country's biggest television-programme producers, has streamlined its business, trimming programmes in response to a slowing economy and sluggish advertising growth.

Chief executive officer Jamnan Siritan said the company withdrew two TV programmes from Channel 9 in the first two months of this year because it was not confident they could survive financially.

"We immediately stopped running the two talk shows after seeing the business risk," she said.
